Yeah a little bit too rush for an important character. They did make some unnecessary fillers and can't even give Neji an episode, darnnn☹️

This episode was strong with the feels, Shikaku and Inoichi were really cool and good dads, and their kids reactions had me already sad. Then Neji was just too much, he didn't need to die, but I did like that it was Hinata who got Naruto up again despite that she was probably more sad

I know this death of Neji I've been spoiled but it still hurts plus the pain restrained in Shikamaru and crying Ino.

I feel it was unnecessary and I think the author just wanted to kill off someone among Naruto's friend circle and he just chose Neji who doesn't get enough screentime (in Shippuden that is) and is not much relevant to the story.
